Frequently Asked Questions:

How much does the unit weigh?

The Container weighs about 5700 with all the changes.

How is the office moved to the jobsite?

Any rollback truck can pick and move them. I charge $75 to move 20 ft containers locally. $100 is the highest rate around here. You could probably find cheaper. I would call around to local tow truck operators and ask them what they would charge to moving a container. If they don't know how to pick on up onto the bed have them call me and I'll explain it to them.

Can axles be attached to it for towing?

I've attached axles or I should say a homemade trailer to the bottom of a 20 ft box. You can see it at redneckstage.com But the 20 ft container stays on the trailer. You would need to add steps to the office if your going to put permanent axles under it.

If it can be towed, what type of equipment is needed to tow it?

I have towed a lot heavier trailers than this with a standard 1500 series truck. A dually would be better.

Have people moved them with a light duty truck? I have but would opt to pay a tow truck operator or someone else with a rollback or tilt trailer to move it.

My opinion would be this...

I would not want to work out of an office that is 4 ft off the ground on axles. Ground level works best.

I would not spend a lot of time and money on axles, trucks, tilt trailers with wenches etc unless you are moving the office often and great distances. Paying up to a $100 to a rollback operator per jobsite makes better sense. You can always add axles etc later if that becomes the best solution.
