Wendy Lebeau, owner of Lebeau's Coffee, and her husband Donnie Chattanooga Pounders, owner of Yellow Box Mobile Storage,  unveiled their latest innovation:  The REDNECK STAGE ON WHEELS - a mobile sound stage hand built from a 20 ft,  heavy gauge steel cargo box.  Pulled on a standard trailer hitch, the stage is available to rent for any performance that requires a stable, shaded platform.  The stage is perfect for a solo act, a 10+  piece band with full drum setup, and everything in between.

Howard Phillips of C & D Custom Exhaust in Petersville, AL is Redneck Stage's customizing genius a.k.a. "Head Redneck."
The stage was built out on county road 6 beside Howards muffler shop, in his wife's Misty's front yard.  We worked on the stage in between Howard's muffler jobs. It took 5 months and a lot of muffler jobs to finally finish the REDNECK STAGE ON WHEELS.   "It doesn't get any more country or any better than this!"  said Chattanooga Pounders.

We customized the 20 ft cargo box to unfold to a 17 X 24 foot roofed stage that is 4 feet high. The front section can be increased from 17 to 25 ft if desired.  The stage comes equipped for all types of events.  It has a 72 amp portable generator, over 20 electrical outlets, overhead stages lights, rope curtain lighting, built in electronics, drum riser, and cushioned flooring.
At the front of the stage there are 4 high speed cooling fans and 20 additional performance lights.  This integrated unit is only 6 inches high and is a real hit with performers.   We call it the "Redneck Heat and Air." They love it!

The stage debuted at builder Wade Gilchrist's poolside birthday party for his wife,  Patty. "It was a huge success!",  said Wade,  and his guests agreed.  The band,  Hillbilly Deluxe,  played for the event and the  band members raved that the Redneck Stage was by far the best they have ever played on.

Chattanooga Pounders says this one is the prototype-  "REDNECK  01".   The next 60 stages will be a lot easier if I ever figure out that money thing. 60 is the number of stages needed to compete with the Canadian company that is the current leader in mobile stage production.   Chattanooga says having the best stage at half the competition's price built by rednecks for rednecks should be the formula for success.
